FOOTBALL Information

​Taunton Youth Football (TYF) is open to all athletes Grades K - 8 (Grade entering in Fall 2025)

​

Registration Information:

  • Must be paid in full by 7/21/2025

  • Registration Fee: $275 due at registration (registration discount for multiple children in TYFC Program)

 

Registration Includes:

  • Game Jersey

  • Helmet

  • Shoulder Pads

  • Game Pants - upon request (may use own pants, if desired, must be all black)

Any items owned by Taunton Youth Football are not to be worn outside of league sponsored events.  They can be washed on the gentle cycle in cold water but line dried only. Uniforms and equipment must be returned to Taunton Youth Football at the end of the season. Uniforms and equipment not returned or damaged will be the financial responsibility of the parents or guardians. 

 

Registration fee also covers program expenses such as:

  • Field rentals

  • Game day costs (referees, EMT, etc.)

 

Equipment needed, not provided:

  • Mouthguard with tether for facemask

  • Football cleats

  • Padded football pants

  • Practice Jersey

Practices & Games

Practices will begin July 28th

 

Summer practice will be 5 days a week, Monday-Friday, 6-8pm to ensure all athletes get their conditioning needs met and begin to install plays.

 

Once games begin, practice schedules will be at the discretion of the Head Coach of each team.  Typically there are 2 practices per week with a walk through the day before the game.

 

All Practice Locations TBD

 

There will be 8 weeks of games, beginning the weekend of 8/30 - 9/1

  • There is the potential for additional games after 8 weeks depending on playoffs and team ranking.

  • Games may take place on Saturday or Sunday

  • We will do our best to get you the schedule as soon as possible and be communicative of any changes to the schedule during the season​

Behavior Policy

All players are expected to adhere to the code of conduct.

Fighting, intimidation, bullying, use of illegal substances (including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and vaping by minors) or disrespect for authority by any athlete or parent during practices, games or Taunton Youth Football & Cheer functions will not be tolerated. These activities may result in suspension and/or removal from the Taunton Youth Football & Cheer program without refund.

Please remember that each athlete is representing Taunton Youth Football & Cheer and the City of Taunton. Athletes and parents should always conduct themselves in a proper manner and display good sportsmanship to the organization, team members, coaches and opposing teams.

Taunton Youth Football & Cheer is an all-volunteer organization.  We always need volunteers and there are many different ways you can contribute to make a difference – coaching, fundraising, concessions or as a team parent.  If everyone does a little it goes a long way!
